Phase3 upgrades its network technology to enhance its communications

Following the ongoing Security Operation Centre (SOC) network capability upgrade, the leading independent fibre-optic network infrastructure and telecommunications services provider – Phase3 Telecom has upgraded its network technology to enhance its communications. The technology enhancements will also push its cloud and connectivity solutions across business and enterprise segments in Nigeria and West African sub-region.

According to the chairman of the company, Stanley Jegede, the principal goal of the ongoing multilayer technology upgrade is “to optimize network infrastructure capabilities, scalability, interconnect operational capacity and build resilience”. He added that the service optimization and coverage will augment communications, cloud and connectivity projects across multiple locations in order to support start-ups, and “grow businesses and institutions to boost economic growth and increase their successes”.

Beyond the enhanced network backbone and bandwidth capabilities for point-to-multi point access, Jegede pointed out that the chief components such as network security and speed “are the driving forces of Phase3 new technology upgrade for secured and latency-free connections as well as growing network expansion plan”. The new direction, which is targeted at expanding the scope of its enterprise solutions will also drive its increasing user portfolio of small and large scale enterprises, institutions and corporate bodies.


Besides, the service sector and multinational companies, the technology will contribute to the nation’s thriving broadband penetration drive. “The technology upgrade is quite expansive in the model. It will accommodate the new digital realities and possibilities created by COVID-19 especially in the areas of amplified work-from-anywhere and dedicated remote connectivity solutions. “The service delivery will increase network data handling capacity vis-a-vis making the networks faster and smarter as the current global clime demands”, he said.
